DescriptionThe Sports Car, incorporating ‘Brooklands Track and Air’. Bound volume of all 9 magazines for the year 1935, April to December,  the first year this magazine was published for MG owners.These magazines are now extremely rare, especially the first year and rarely seem to come up for sale.When a customer purchased a car from MG, they were offered 1 year free membership to The MG Car Club. This club was set up and funded by MG. They even provided office space for its Editor. In 1935 the MG Car Club started producing a monthly magazine called “The Sports Car”. This contained articles and adverts about MG cars specifically written for their owners. At the rear of the magazine was a Classified section which listed the cars for sale in MG model order. What was unusual was that these adverts also included the chassis number for the vehicle.All magazines bound are fully intact with original covers and are in generally good condition. One or two scuffs and tears as is to be expected given their age.The magazines are bound in cream boards which are a little grubby and marked in places. They have a green tape spine with gold lettering and corners have also been strengthened with green tape corners. End papers are a little scruffy and marked in places. Could be rebound reasonably easily. More information can be provided if required.
