He lived in Australia, and according to his book never travelled outside the country but contributed to UK publications and work seen in UK auctions.Colour work is very thin wash in bright colours somewhat secondary to the pen and ink drawing. Signed his work R Shepherd with underline and long twirls on tails of R’s.Stylish drawings of all the key racing cars across many years with short description in each case.Limited edition 82/500 hardback in generally very good condition, green boards good, one or two small marks and bumping to one corner. Inside slight age yellowing to page edges but otherwise clean and well bound. No dust jacket. Scarce.
