Being smaller than Drosophila hydei, they are especially suitable for tiny species or newly hatched animals that cannot yet manage larger feeders. Their flightless mutation makes them simple to use in feeding, as they crawl and hop rather than flying, making them easy to contain and feed out.Supplied as a live culture, these tubs will continue to produce flies for approximately 3 weeks, providing a consistent and renewable food source. They are particularly valuable for species such as dart frogs, day geckos, hatchling chameleons, small salamanders, mantids, and young tarantulas.Feeding:Use feeding tongs or tap flies directly into a smooth-sided feeding dish or enclosure.
