Eye closing and inflammation in turtles is most commonly caused by a lack of vitamin A in the diet; though it can also be the result of particles in the eye, or injury from other animals or sharp objects.Although these eye drops can assist with the cleaning and opening of eyes, if this has been caused by Vitamin A deficiency then it may be due to an issue with their diet. Carrot, Sweet Potato, Spinach and Kale are all very high in Vitamin A, and makes a great addition to the diet of tortoises.Ingredients: Water (isotonic saline solution), solubilizing hydrotrope, vitamin A palmitate in an oil base, cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12)Directions: For use with closed eyes, apply 1-2 drops per eye each day for one week. If no improvement is noticed after one week, consult a reptile veterinarian. For regular, preventative use, use 1 drop per eye once a week.
