St Christine was the daughter of a rich and powerful pagan pagan judge named Urbain. Urbain possessed many richly decorated gold idols. One day Christine stole these idols, broke them apart, and gave the pieces to the poor. When her father found out he persecuted her as a Christian in his own court. Despite many horrible tortures, she never wavered in her faith and finally died after being shot with arrows. Her feast day is still celebrated in Bolsena, Italy, with a parade and re-enactment of her martyrdom. The medal was cast in sterling silver from an antique medal in the Rosa Mystica Collection so it shows all the beauty and history of the original piece. It comes with a matching holy card in an organza gift bag, ready for gift-giving, and was made in the USA Patron of Archers and Sailors
